dont take my word for it but i think if your having probs with your water pump them you realy wana be doing the full cam belt change . if that water pump goes you will have a heafty bill . thats what went on mine and cost me a cool 1600 quid engine rebuild ! oh i did have a gear box fitted too so less the 750 quid for that .
when did the belt last get done ?

Are you sure its the water pump?

My waterpump runs off the cambelt.

The 6 ribbed long belt that you are talking about has tensioner, crankshaft, 1x idler, Alternator and power steering puleys.

In relation to the crank, where is the pulley in question?

Has a big tube goes up to the reservoir and a metal pipe that goes to the rack.

Sounds right to me.

The water pump is run off the cambelt.

if its PS pump, you will need a new PS pump, and belt.

I think GSF can supply exchange pumps....
