Hi all,
can anyone tell me what amp fuse I should have for the radio in the fuse box, it is currently 5 amp, seems a little small to me!

Correct fuse for the radio is 5A, that's more than enough for a radio unless you've got some BIG amps fitted & then they should be fused separately anyway.

The Pioneer headunit I just fitted, which was nothing special in terms of power output, has a 10A fuse fitted in the back.

In theory the one in the fuse box should match that or be bigger, depending on what other loads are on that circuit.

However, in purely practical terms I'd rather have the fuse in the fuse box blow than have to take the headunit out to change the one on the back!

Depending on the radio specs, probably. Say 4 speaker outputs at 25W per channel equals 100W. That's 8 amps at 12V.

That's a very simplistic view, but overall I reckon 5A could easily be too low. 10A may be fine but don't go any higher for now.
