Does anyone know what these lines are? I noticed a smell of fuel coming from my 2.4. There was a little bit of smoke puffing from the underside of the rocker cover at these pipes. Are they part of the injectors? It looks like flexible push on pipes. The brading is saturated so looks likes its weeping at the joint. I'm trying to find out in my workshop manual but I was hoping someone would know straight away.

Leak off pipes. They carry excess fuel back to the tank. if they are leaking they have perished and need replacing. Any auto motors factors should do it. Just cut to the right length and push on.....easy fix. If you don't you could suck air into the fuel system causing bad starting.

Only 4.50 for a metre of fuel line down my local motor factors T: Took the nose off and rocked the radiator to get my hands in.
