I’ve had extensive bodywork done on my front and rear and wondered if mud flaps would prevent the stone damage in these areas.
If yes which are the best ones to go for? Genuine VW? I’ve got 7.5” width wheels fitted to my T4.

Any advice is appreciated.

Genuine rear are OK, genuine FRONT just cause more rot on the arches!!
Yeah, I have them!!!

Rear are really just for show.....they mount on the bumper...so don't really deflect any stones from the bodywork.
I'm sure scruffy will be along with a comment......

I've got genuine ones, been fitted for donkeys years now. They do make a difference but not a whole lot IMO

Mine are home made...8 mm rubber sheet..cut to shape..(will use 6 mm next time..) £30... bolted through wheel arch liner ... they’ve been like that for 5 years.. no corrosion...

I have genuine fronts and they might stop stone chips but I think they are causing some rust issues. I've recently decided to remove mine and it should reduce the mud build up behind them.

Thanks for the post, think the home manufactured are the best for me, especially avoiding the potential rust trap!
