Ok i have a hyperthetical question to ask. If you were in the market for a camper, and you were offered two campers at the same price, one which is white 2008, 8000 miles with the standard 85ps engine and no electric windows or air con (2 years man warrenty), and another which was 2005 in black with 19000 miles with aircon, electric windows, cruise control and parking sensors. Which would you go for?????

Depends if you want all the stuff on it. Some stuff you dont want to retro fit afterwards as the factory fit has the correct looms etc.

By the sounds of it you need a big wallet to own a T5 out of warranty so i would go for the newer one.

I own an 85 BHP, white poverty spec. T5 and I like the back to basics approach. I am no boy racer but it is plenty quick enough for me and I don't miss the 'toys' (compared with my car) one little bit!

One of the main reasons for selling my t4 was lack of aircon,Go with the toys,The airport taxi I use had 250,000 miles all the toys worked I could not believe condition,The owner driver said it had never let him down and was best taxi he`d owned( T5 shuttle 1.9tdi )

If you want the toys then go for them! I personally have no problem with winding down my window for some fresh air, but thats just me.

I dont think you'll have any regrets whichever you choose

Go for the one with aircon, i had a transit before my t5 without aircon and it was a nightmare.. it was tough without aircon too. lol.LOL: My t5 is black with aircon, electric windows and 150,000 miles on the clock and it is just great. dont worry about miles with a v dub matey theyre built to take it..
