HELP !! Have 2010 t32 with a manual ramp which lowers using hydraulic suspension. Stopped working last week. Won't lower.happened before and there was a hole in the hose, so thought it was the same thing.
Took it to hose specialist who said it was the shocks.(corroded) Took to local indie garage and they said they can fix it but it's not standard vw shocks and to contact the company who did the conversion. Surprisingly they subbed this one out to another company, who in turn subbed it out to a firm in Holland, who have no record of doing this. I just need a part number but no one can help. Anyone any suggestions?? Seem to be a lot of vans out there with hydraulic suspension , can a wav conversion be much different? Cheers for any help as we are currently housebound until we can get this repaired

Hi thanks for reading and replying! No the shocks still work - we press a button and the rear of the van sinks so we can get a wheelchair down the ramp, and then when finished close the boot and the suspension raises back up again. We can still drive the van but the ramp won't go down when the button is pressed. We can hear the motor whirring, but when it fail d we noticed liquid by the tyre which I assume is hydraulic fluid

So did the garage identify which actual part had failed ? If so is there not a part number or a makers mark on it to give you a starting point?
Parts are sourced from all sorts of suppliers and swapped out mid production if another better/cheaper supplier is found .
I used to build police 4x4's , movano ambulances , AA vans ,BT vans and blood donor trucks they used to be nightmare for changing stuff whenever it suited them .

That sounds horrendous.....
Here in Norway, EVERY single part of a "modified" van would have to have TUV part numbers and be tractable back to the supplier!
MY van is EX dissabled conversion, but the only part remaining from it being "de-converted" is the hand brake.
Still, the mechanism for that is traceable through documentation.
