Been holding out for a central locking kit now but the time has come to ask for reviews. I have just manual locking at the minute and its a pain in the backside. I have a tailgate on my van and the ( sigh ) eBay kits I have been looking at I just don't know about if they are worth it , so , hence why I would like a few reviews and , if not too much to ask , links to some ? I:

Not being tight but don't want to spend mega money on one really but also don't want a cheap kit that will break in a couple of months.

Yeah I was kinda in two minds wether to bother with something under ÂŁ50 because the last thing I want is for it to break.

What sort of money are those kits you mentioned upspex ? Do you supply them ?

I got a rightclick kit from discodave. Great once I got over install problems. Never fitted c/l before and pleased with how it
Turned out. Rightclick use a flip key like newer vdubs use, which is a nice touch. Come with the plates to fit
the motors easy as well.

I have a Hawk one installed by Trans4mit and eeither it has an error or is so sensitive as I keep finding the van unlocked. It is possible I catch the unlock button on the remote. Go feel some keyfobs and find one that has a sunken unlock button would be my biggest recommendation.

That is an interesting observation and one I would concur with on basis that despite fitting electric windows to my van he subsequently declined to send my invoice over. I chased several times and was promised it would be sent over on numerous occasions. I guess he didn't put my cash through his books.

I have had problems with him supplying a seatbelt that fit the rear seats after fitting a VW double seat. The seatbelt was too short so he said he would order one. I chased for months with no belt materialising and then he refused contact. Then when I posted on Facebook regarding my experience he threatened legal action for slander, even though its true. :*

Iv'e just been on the camper tronic site and look at their t4 central locking bundle that looks ok for the money. but they provide x2 flip keys with hu49 blades yet every t4 iv'e seen has ah blades? has anyone had the kit and managed to get the keys to work?

The AH (both AU AH and VO AH) has the same profile as the HU49. The AU and VO are both metal headed keys, generally used as T4 surf keys. The nly difference between these is the shape of the key head. The HU49 is the blade we supply with the central locking and alarm kits for a T4. The HU49 blades are specifically for the Right Click kits. Hope this helps.
