Eberspacher D3WZ wire colours

Hi all, I've just brought a Eberspacker water heater to fit it as a night heater. I've now got all the parts but the wires seem to be a different colour to all the posts I've read about

this is what I've read about

PIN 1 - RED -CONSTANT LIVE
PIN 2 - BROWN - EARTH
PIN 3 & 4 - GREEN - FUEL PUMP
PIN 5 - WHITE - DIAGNOSTIC
PIN 6 - BLACK 12v +ve THERMOSTAT
PIN 7 - BLUE 12v +ve ALTERNATOR ONLY SWITCH

but mine are

PIN 1 - RED
PIN 2 - BROWN
PIN 3 - thin Red / Black
PIN 4 - Green
PIN 5 - Thin white / Blue
PIN 6 - Blue
PIN 7 - Yellow
Pin 8 - thin White / Black

has anyone any idea how to wire this up?

I retro fitted on ages ago with a 12v 7 day timer

off the top of my head, what you have sounds about right..

Ignore the diagnostic wires and try the blue and yellow as the switched live together, if that makes sense.

it has the document you want under "Vehicle installations". Blue/white is diagnostic, yellow is for Alternator D+, blue is for the 12V switch. Green is fuel pump positive, and Red/Black appears to be fuel pump negative.
