Pop your bonnet, look down at the side of the indicator and you should see a little plastic tab. Press this with a flat screwdriver and pull the lens out. Easy when you see it done. T:

Long or short nose ?

 

Swapped my standard ones to smoked lenses last week on a T4 long nose Caravelle, no plastic tab just a metal spring to 'un hook' - easy peazy T:
Did keep the standard springs to re-use as the ones that came with the new lenses were rubbish!

 

BUMP- reviving this old topic: i have a 1997 T4 TDi van longwheelbase
(short/square nose) - i've just been in there, looking for this tab, and
i couldn't find it :*

just watched the youtube of it, so i have an idea of what i should be seeing,
but mine doesn't look the same.

worried i'm going to have to remove the headlight unit to do it, because
that didn't look too straightforward either - does that require removal of
the bodywork panel across the front?

please advise (anything, everything!) much appreciated, thanks,

Front panel removal is just 3 screws....3 top and 2 through the grill (at least on a 2000....not sure if yours is the earlier short front nose).
Headlight unit is 4 bolts/screws.

20 min job at most to get both headlights out.
