Horn wiring with after market MOMO steering wheel

Hey buddies,

I'm being thick as a plank trying to get my head round the wiring up I need to do when I swap my standard wheel to a MOMO one, i.e. from the old 2 wire black\brown setup to a single wire on the new boss.

My new steering boss has a single red wire attached to it (as opposed to the 2 on the standard VW T4 wheel), am I correct in thinking this attaches to the new single connector on the new horn (and somehow to the old black\positive feed), then the original brown wire off the old horn is connected as an earth somewhere on the boss e.g. under one of the screws that hold the new wheel in place?

Any help is much appreciated please, I'm thick as pig sh*t wi electrics.

Thanks Gilbz.

I was making it more difficult than it needed to be. Sorted it by simply bending the brass contact from the steering column up to the base of the new boss.

I didn't realise the earth was sorted by the spring on the horn button once its in place in the boss. Hence I only needed the red positive feedwire to get the current via the bent upwards brass contact.

Its now in and working, looks wicked.
