How accurate are mileage checks?

Hoping for some advice. I've found a van at independent specialist but before going to look I've done a mileage check and the results seem odd. The vehicle is ex lease/fleet but don't know exact details. I've never done one before so don't know if there is any chance of incorrect information on these systems? The figures are below and would suggest incorrect figures or that someone has regularly clocked it every few months? Is that likely?

RMI MIL'GE - SCHEME 16/08/2011 103,110
RMI MIL'GE - SCHEME 04/08/2011 102,874
RMI MIL'GE - SCHEME 27/07/2011 104,977
BVRLA - MEMBER 26/07/2011 102,010
RMI MIL'GE - SCHEME 06/07/2011 100,408
BVRLA - MEMBER 29/06/2011 98,210
RMI MIL'GE - SCHEME 27/06/2011 99,895
RMI MIL'GE - SCHEME 22/06/2011 99,350
BVRLA - MEMBER 10/06/2011 98,210
BVRLA - MEMBER 17/03/2011 92,507

What do you think, stay clear? Is there anyway of getting info from further back? This check was through autotrader.

Not sure if MOT or service record is going to help. General trend is upwards. Will speak to seller today and get more info on origin. If he knows name of lease company contacting them's an option. Doubt they'll give info out though. Can see me walking away and wait continues for the perfect van!

Very sad I know but the attached shows the trend in mileage which is spot on (other than the 2 values 27/07/2011 104,977
29/06/2011 98,210) The 98k should probably be 99,210 and there's little chance someone did 3k in a day for the 104k one.

I think these are simple mistakes possibly taken from when the vehicle was refuelled so could be petrol station assistant miss hearing etc.

I'd not dismiss the vehicle on this info.

BVLRA is leasing association

I suspect a leasing company HPI'd the vehicle and guessed mileage
Hence its up and down
Simple human error in these cases
They actually support the mileage but only of last 10,000 miles

If you go to auction they make a big thing of full service history
This isn't just for reliability
Its so the buyers feel confident its not clocked.
