Just a quick warning to anybody thinking of having tyres fitted at Kwik-fit, if you have aftermarket wheels, don’t bother. They won’t fit tyres on aftermarket wheels, apparently!
I ordered four new Eagle f1 tyres at the weekend, to be fitted this morning. I turn up only for him to ask me if my wheels were standard. When I told him they weren’t that’s when he told me the news. I was gobsmacked to be honest, I’ve never heard such nonsense. I was changing the tyres as the current ones are not load rated, so it’s the first thing I’ve done since getting the van last week.
I have seen nothing anywhere to tell me this is the case, the first time it was mentioned was this morning. I have reminder emails, and emails asking to double check that I’ve ordered the right size, and bring the locking wheel but, but nothing about this. I have now had to find somewhere else to have tyres fitted, and wasted most of my day off sorting this out.
So to save anyone else the hassle, I’ve posted this.
Got to wait until Monday now to get it sorted!
