All with copious quantities of SkaFlex and SikaLastomer.

Will write the whole process up to the bog this week.

Looking really good, I think the grey paint on the main roof light was a good move:cool: looks very professional, looking at the internal photos would I be correct in assuming the blinds will be flush with the finished ceiling panel? I have been measuring up today with the intention of doing something similar to gain some headroom.

Something like that. Don't want them Proud of the side and ceiling linings but also don't want them hidden for future getting at. Going to be a case of watch this space.

Whatever the aesthetics of the grey painted roof light are going to get a little lost amongst the two 200W solar panels

Really enjoying following this build, love the attention to detail and how you have researched and planned the work.
Thanks M8 and I’m pleased it looks that way although often it isn’t.

ATM I think @Mutley and I are on a similar wavelength and state of play which helps extract the details and ideas but I’ll bet I get finished first LOL:

I meant liking the spray paint on the heki .....and the eye level brake light looks in the pic like youve painted this also .
Good god if that is eye level for you did you just step off a flying saucer :D

Nope that is how the high level brake light comes although few mortals will see it from that angle ;)

I'd be very surprised if you are not finished before me with all the deadlines you have with insurance and house the house sale:)
also I think you said you were getting all the interior furniture made by the wood working company who's workshop you are using;)
We don't have that tight a deadline and I plan to make the bed/seat and all the cabinet frames out of steel box section and then clad them in timber.

Fitted the top part of the B post trim. So much better than bits of wall board or fabric.

Just have to tidy the head lining gap as there is no means of retaining it tight. Could be time for a bit of hot melt.

Once I had the tie downs out it took me 40 minutes to get the floor up. It came up safely because we want to reuse it on top of insulation.

I cut a wedge onto a length of 3x1.5 CLS to drive along the centre and break the adhesive and used two others, one each side to lift it and back section came up fairly easily. Likewise the fron5 piec3 but you do have to careful with the tounge of the Z joint as it is fragile.

Have you managed to get the glue off the boards and floor? we found the easiest way to get rib of the small parts that were left was to ball a lump up and use it to dab the small bits off, like you would with blutack. The pillar trims look good, can you still fit the yellow handle?

Just seen the new Fiamma Bike Carry for New Crafter is on their web site. It is designed to fit on to Crafter door hinges and not the doorpanel.

Got my name on one as soon as they are here.

We are having a garage at the back of ours for the bikes as I found it a pain having to keep loading and unloading the bikes, plus they get filthy even with a cover over them, it's one of the main reasons we went from a T5 to a Crafter.

Not yet. I stopped yesterday to watch Scotland v Ireland but I don’t know why

Going to have a go at warming it a lot with my plastic welding hot air gun to see if that helps.

I suppose I could but I am going to look for an A post style handle. I’ve seen them at jumbles so not going to pay TPS £M. They will need blocking between the trim and the metal.

Garage is where we started and it will be interesting to see how you achieve it. However I did it it took up too much living space and I t’s only for my bike, I like to have it with us to nip to the shops for breakfast croissants :)

Do you have a layout you can share?

My layout is on graph paper so not easy to share, we are having a garage roughly 700mm from the back doors 1200mm high, then shelving/cupboards above that can be accessed from inside on the n/s of the van and from the back doors on the o/s, in front of the garage on the o/s will be the shower/toilet roughly 650mm x 850mm, from the shower to the back of the drivers seat there will be a 2000mm x 800mm seat which will fold into a 1250mm wide bed, on the n/s 700mm back from the front of the sliding door will be kitchen units with the hob, sink, and compressor fridge, the gas cupboard will be under the hob so it is easily accessible when entering the van.
The glue will just pick off if it's anything like ours, we were surprised how cleanly it came off.

Well it’s a Cloudy damp Sunday afternoon. Trawling through the Forum and decided to read this thread from start to finish.
Great build guys and lots of attention to detail.
Both the grey and red look nice colours!
Keep it up lads!
