I'm looking at getting Cruise control retro-fitted, this is the BCM I have:

Now as I understand it, for Cruise control to be activated the BCM needs to end in 087 or higher and not 086 like mine but which module should I have:

7H0 937 087
or
088
or
089

What sort of cost should I be looking at for a retrofit with new BCM?:*

Thanks in advance.

Taken from ross techs website: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Cruise_Control_Retrofitting_(6R)

Central Electronics Control Module
There are 5 Types of Body Control Modules (BCM/J519), only 3 of them support Cruise Control. The installed Type can easily be determined by the Control Module Part Number. Higher equipped Types always include the Options from the lower equipped ones.

Basis+
Part Numbers: ***-937-084-***
Medium+
Part Numbers: ***-937-085-***
Supported Features (like Basis+ and additonally): Central Locking, Anti-Theft-System, Outside Mirror Heating, Seat Heating
Medium++
Part Numbers: ***-937-086-***
Supported Features (like Medium+ and additonally): Remote Control
High+
Part Numbers: ***-937-087-***
Supported Features (like Medium++ and additonally): Cruise Control System (CCS), Anti-Theft-System LIN-Databus (for Alarm Horn)
Reku (Recuperation)
Part Numbers: ***-937-088-***
Supported Features (like High+ and additonally): Start/Stop System (with Recuperation)
Licht (Lighting)
Part Numbers: ***-937-089-***
Supported Features (like High+ and additonally): Lighting Functions (LED DRL, Bi-Xenon etc.)
Licht/Reku (Lighting/Recuperation)
Part Numbers: ***-937-090-***
Supported Features (like High+ and additonally): Lighting Functions (LED DRL, Bi-Xenon etc.), Start/Stop System (with Recuperation)

Be careful that the one you end up buying is the right one. I bought a 7H0937-090 bcm and it wouldn't code the remotes. After a bit of research i think the -090 is for europe, south africa and south america 2012/2013 transporters. The frequency for the remotes is different so i am led to believe. UK ones are 433mhz foreign ones (i think) are 434mhz.

I still have the -090 if anyone wants to buy it. its going on ebay when i get a minute.

You can check out part numbers using this site: http://www.partsbase.org/

Followed the guide on Ross Techs website: adaption, channel 000 / 001 remote matching. I tried several times but just would not accept it. Bought a different BCM - 087, tried same procedure and it worked. This led me to investigate part number and found out about different remote frequencies. Maybe there are different -090 BCMs out there for different export markets. Intresting yours worked, did you program the same way? I may try doing it again before I sell it.
