T4 Power Steering Cooling Pipe

OK some progress (I think), although this is going to cost me an arm and a leg!

Garage reckon they have isolated the problem with my noisy power steering to a small crack in the cooling pipe which is allowing air into the system. They've done a run with the pipe bypassed and apparently it was fine.

Question is now how do I get a replacement as it's a discontinued part (701422091A) which I'm having problems tracking down. Anyone breaking a T4 able to help?

Do I actually need it n the UK climate anyway or would it be OK to bypass it longer term?

Any advice gratefully received.

is this the one which runs along the front of the rad

You are right , You don't need one . Just bypass it T:

think I've got 3 of those 'cooler' pipes in my scrap pile, you can have one for the cost of postage (without SCENE-TAX I: ) but tbh I'd just bypass it straight to the reservoir (I've done it on a few, mine included) A:
