I have just bought a t5 the central dash vents seem very poor in relation to the ones by the doors. Is this a common fault or does anyone think the pipes have come off in the central section?
Generally cooling is poor. (Not a/c just simple system)

Hi mate, i posted the same question weeks ago and didnt get one response, so i can only assume that there is only yourself and i with this problem,
to the best of my knowledge it will be a kinked cable from your control switch to you blower unit, i have spoken to people at TPS about this and they say the common parts used for this repair are two new upgraded cables, 7H2819835D and 7H2819837C, they are about ÂŁ7 each , hope this helps

Hi Guys.

My central vents work perfect.
I can adjust the setting, and have them blowing as strong as the door vents.
Obviously - the more vents I have open the weaker the flow, but it's still acceptable.

The above applies to hot or cold - AC blows through centre vents and I do have to lower the flow after a while.

(I have a 2007 T32)

Regards

Brian.

When I bought my T4 (straight of the factory line at VW) it was missing two of the vent pipes behind the dash, result was gentle drafts from those dash outlets while everything else seemed OKish.

So is it new new or simply new to you?

You say generally ventilation is poor, try checking pollen filter (assuming it has one) they can get well blocked.
