Hi all,
I have just received in my Vcds originl cable, And that I am trying to find out all the possible mods for my van!
Can you please help me finding other interestings things to do with Vag-con/Vcds?
I managed:
Turn off seat belt warning ;)
Turn On closing "beep" when I close the van A:
Auto lock the doors when speed is over 15 km/h
Auto Emergency flashing indicators when Abs is engaged

I would like to auto close windows/ sunroof when rain is detected I have seen it done on other cars?
Lets try to make this thread a good wiki for others to use,
Ciao from Italy!

Any more updates on this? Pick up the new van from the graphics guys on Friday. First thing ill be doing is plugging it in! Mainly be convenience module settings for locking etc. Want to try and change DRL settings too so that headlights and tail lights are on all the time. Called Scandinavian DRL on my passat.

Got my new van last night and had the laptop straight into it. Few questions though.

1. Lock confirmation beep doesn't work. Ticked appropriate boxes but doesn't work.

2. MFD displays "check safelock" every time the key is removed from the ignition. Is that normal?

3. When it locks, the lock mechanisms seem to go twice with just one click of the key fob? Again is this normal?

Any help for a noob much appreciated.

Reading this with interest. My van is in for first service tomorrow. And one of my many requests is for the seat belt bonger to be switched off. They have told me this can't be done.....

Now being of a naturally challenging and inquisitive nature, makes me wonder if this is true?

Any suggestions chaps.

Re the o/p's questions- The double clunk is normal on one press of the remote. It means you don't have selective locking selected so all the doors are opened with one press. Follow Toucanspeed's link to change to selective locking with VCDS. (One press then opens only the driver's door, two presses to open all doors).

Re the alarm chirps and other things, you can run 'Output tests' in the instruments controller and it will activate various chirps/warning chimes/warning lights/dash gauges in turn so you can see/hear what you have on your van. Some of the other controllers have this function (I'd like to know what the BCM on the T5.1 can do) but never use it in the airbag controller....

You probably can't do it with a non registered cable though.
