Never got on with mine either , more wind noise due to the clips sitting in the window rubber seal. (T5.1)

 

I've had the VW stock ones for 6 years, stick on and less noise than without, window open or not. If you've got clips in the seal are they stopping the windows from closing fully?

 

They squash the seal and stop them doing their job properly in actually being able to seal the rubber against the glass thus minimizing wind noise.

The genuine stick ons I personally think are less aesthetically appealing but potentially would do the job much better.

 

Ive also fitted heko deflectors yesterday and noticed Wind noise on motorway on drivers side but not passenger side, so maybe drivers one just needs a little adjustment? I wanna persevere as ive just bought them plus I like the look they give my van

 

I bought my Hekos as rain deflectors - so I can sit in the van in the rain with the window down a bit (to stop steaming up) without getting soaked! But yes they are noisy.
