Hi...what's the advantage of carpeting the metal work instead of the full panels you had before.....personally I thought it looked good as one flat panel instead of separates but I guess there must be a reason.

 

Another thumbs up here for TA's. Mine have been great

 

I'm still using TA Technics but the modified 1's as there were problems with the original fronts

 

The coilovers are fine, really good rid now they have got the updated 1's fitted

 

What type have you got now?

Well this weekend has been busy. I've now got all my paneling all done and all the metal work covered and my Kombi Seat Belts in as well

Just need to get my wood now for the flooring to be done

 

I see that these are the third row seat belts? how are they for length? around the passenger, can they get much lean forward? i've got some for my van (not installed yet) thanks.

 

Well thought I'd update my thread....
I've now decided to redo all my interior as now I've decided to do all the metal work and fit the 3 seater I have.
First off I had to strip the back out so it was all an empty shell

And then scotchbrite all the metal work ready for carpeting.
While I've been waiting for a good weekend I decided to have my Dash panels done by Wicked Coatings

 

You've done a brilliant job , will have to meet so you can give me some tips for my van. Still trying to upload photos but keep getting disturbed LOL:

 

Hi TheFords I'm going to strip out the back this year and trim all the metal work and fit a 3 seater in the rear instead of my 2 seater as I'm thinking of going to 2 singles in the front

But if you swivel the front sit facing the back then they will be the right way up.

Yes the MDF is 1 piece and hangs over into the front cab in a semi circle as didn't want it to be straight. The wooden battens are from B&Q the smallest they did and I've used "L" brackets to secure it to the roof panels and used Riv-nuts on the holes that were all ready there

 

So you have, them black "l" brackets are hard to see in the pic! A:

great effort by the way, pretty much a template for what i am trying to achieve.

 

like the idea of 3 panels. I bet thats alot easier to fit than 1 full board.

 

The side panels are 3mm hardboard and the middle piece is 10mm MDF, but wish I had gone for ply now as incase a bit of damp gets in and warps the MDF

 

The MDF, did you do it in one piece? I see it just over hangs into the front cab. Got the two sides to fit tonight and then figure out the centre bit.

The wooden battens, roughly1 x 1 inch?

 

are the wallpapered panels hardboard and then black center bit ply? looks smart and inspiring, in the middle of doing my own at the mo T:T:T:

Time for a bit of an update, over the last 2 weeks me and my son have been tackling the rear roof lining, I didn't want to go for the standard looking rear panels so decided on a 3 piece 1 instead.
Here's the fist panel in covered in Camper van wallpaper

The second panel is exactly the same, so no pic,
Here's the middle panel covered in foamed back material with Upspex's LED downlights fitted

And here's the final pic of my Tv fitted on to the panel
