Hello mate ,
you've got to adapt the plugs on the end that go into the fuse board , on your blue clocks you should have 2 plugs 1 green and 1 blue , where these plug into the fuse board you will have 2 large blue and probably a bundle of single and twin plugs half of these arent used but you have to add some to the large blue plugs .
I just did my boys 1994 1.9 after we did the TDI conversion he wanted the blue clocks so I got some and now everything works as it should ..T:T:
here they are in place and working

Can i clarify: if i was to buy passat blue clocks (3b0 919 xxx) which are reasonably cheap, which clock surround would i require in a 97/98 1.9td T4 with the standard rectangular clocks?

Is it a case of buying a T4 blue clock shroud, or the shroud from the vehicle donating the clocks? Or are they both in fact the same?

I'm after a 'factory' look so must all mate up well.

This is what I made today.

Removed the plastic facia from t4 surround using drill with routet bit a file and a Stanley knife. Then I trimmed out the passat facia and will plastic weld it into t4 surround. So now have half fis passat clocks in the t4 just have to figure out how to make them work.

Hi, just spotted this and wondered if you could help..my 1998 T800 special 1.9 has just failed MOT (I blew the clocks :( ), they are not the instrument panels that you have above..the temp/fuel gauge is on the left, speedo in the middle with the mileage panel in the middle, then on the left is a clock instead of a rev counter. I'm trying to find a replacement but they seem to be like gold dust..are you able to tell from my description, if there are other clocks that may do as a replacement? Thanks

Hi everybody!

I'm newbie in this forum and at first sorry for my english.
I have a T4 Caravelle from 2002 with full MFA FIS dash. I like to reprogram the dash's eeprom to switch on the backlight of the LCDs and pins when ignition turned on. I found some hex codes for Golf etc, but nothing for T4 (when I read many sites I found some secrets about "Welcome" message and "distance to Empty" display too). I hope there is anyone who can help me.
Thanks in advance.

Hi all

I have almost finished converting my T4 ABL to 1Z, .

I am having some issues with my clocks / clusters and wondered if you can shead some light on it?

firstly I would like to use the clocks out of the golf donor car as my T4 clocks have seen better days. the T4 clocks were the early style with a clock instead of a rev counter, the golf clocks are the mid style. From what i have seen on other threads they should just be plug and play however.....
When I use the original T4 cluster to fusebox loom with the golf clocks all i get is fuel gauge works, a flash from the glowplug light and the parking brake and batt warning light on when the ignition is on. when i use the golf cluster to fusebox loom i get nothing. With either loom, with ign off the digital display is on, when the ign is switched on the digital display dissapears. The engine starts and runs fine, the cluster backlight works fine and the indicator / mainbeam cluster indications work correctly.

I appear to be out of my depth and any help would be greatly appreciated?

Cheers

Rich

hi, i have a 2001 ajt engined t4 2.5tdi with 7DO 920 903 B clocks. the needles and clocks do not light up(warning lights work), all other dash lights fine. have tried a set of golf clocks and they light up ok so getting power to lighting circuit. is there a way of repairing the lights inside these clocks? thanks.

hi, can the illumination be fixed on the t4 (7D0 920 903B) later clocks. warning lights and all other dash lights are ok. i plugged a set of mk4 golf clocks in and they light up so power is getting to back of clocks. any ideas? thanks.

Have just fitted a set of clocks from a passat 1.9tdi into my T4 which has a 1.9tdi golf engine in. The fuel gauge and speedo seem fine but the rev counter just goes clockwise and stays at the max . Does anybody know how I can remedy this?
Many thanks Dave
