New member to the turbo club is Moodyblue... just finished his conversion!!!

Guys,

I am speaking to my insurer about this upgrade, they are asking how much of an increase in BHP the T4 2.5 TDI turbo conversion would give.

Anyone like to suggest the increase? or should I just assume it will be the same as the lowest t4 2.5 TDI @ 88bhp ?

and wich is the consumption for this convertion, now thinking to put vw 110cv turbo, for the 0.6bar

hi i,ve got a 2.4 aab transporter t4 1997 gonna do a turbo convertion do i need a ecu off a 2.5 aswell ??
got the turbo and both manifolds and intercooler ,hoses and dipstick and gaskets i think thats it.if anything else do tell

This looks great but would it work for a Westfalia LHD, is the engine and mechs the same and on the same side?? Or is it a new 2.5 tdi engine and will it fit??

No one mentions that the oil feed dose not four the 2.3 oil cooler . Well mine don't so lucky I had that as well so after struggling with the oil filter it's all gone easy , tomorrow I start to rebuild

Not sure if I have already said but my insurance company says the modifications as specified will not increase my insurance premiums

Are you tempted to join the 2.4 turbo brigade? T:
No exact fine tuned figures but mine is better on fuel for sure.
As for doing the conversion, I'm sure there are people on here who would do it if you ask nicely :ILU:

no real increase Kate, as regards companies i have no idea, i do know is a few of us have done conversions for others...
