So these are the Plans for the seating/bed layout, iv decided to make a rear bulkhead so no dust can get into the van from my tools, as the van is still my daily drive and work van at the moment. Hopefully start on this next weekend, should be getting it back from the sprayers on Friday

Same lay out as my old van. Works really well and was hella practical when wanting to use my van for moving large items. Only down side i found was seat belts for extra passengers.

Yea that looks pretty similar to the bed set up I had in mind, any idea how far off the wall it is when it's in seat position? I'm hoping mine is going to be 610mm, so I have a bit more room, and will still be able to store my boards under it. Also I'm gonna have to support the front of it some how as I don't have the bulkhead for support, looking good tho mate

 

Finally got the van back from the crash repair and respray today. question now is weither to put the bra back on??

I'd go for a vinyl wrap on the bonnet instead of the bra, got a CMC bra on mine and although I think it's a great fit, it tends to sweat in the summer and others have seen this cause the paint to blister.

The van is looking su-weeeet! Did the flashing tape make a huge difference, as far as you can tell? I was thinking of putting down some roofing felt underlay (torch-on) on the deck and the side panels for the same sort of reasons...

Looking good tho fella, keeping my eyes on this.

 

Cheers, yea the flashing tape is brilliant, just a quiet thud when i shut the doors now rather than a horrible prang that rattles through the van. Also keeps it from vibrating on motorway trips, would 100% reccomendT:

 

After a bit of debate iv now decided the bra is staying off the van, over the weekend i managed to finish insulating, here are a few boring pics...

used cellotex type insulation stuck in with expanding foam to stop it jiggiling about and squeeking when im on the move, i then covered it all with a final layer of foil bubble wrap. I also went over the flashing on the arches with it, virtually no tyre roar anymoreT:
Next job is to run cables for speakers, screen etc

 

 

The only thing iv had time to do lately, and the only shiny bit on the van

Got it from eBay for a couple of quid, just searched t4 mesh I think, it slid in behind the foam air intake bit nicely

New purchase, 16" going to get a flip down bracket, good picture but a bit of a tinny sound, goin to play it through speakers anyway, bargain! £89 in Morrisons

 

You can get a 12v lead for that, i have the same TV, this is the post from my build thread T:T:

Picked up a sweet deal on a TV/DVD with a USB port from Morrison's for only £99

Fitted it in using a bracket that i can slide it off, for when i'm not using it, got it from amazon fo £22

Most peeps chop of the 240 plug and stick on a cigarette plug, i did a little searching on tinteret and found a 12v lead for £12.50

Finally got the roof down today, horrible job cleaning off the remaining carpet foam that was left over! Hopefully plying next week. Also ran in new cables for the tv and lighting, what a pain getting from the sides into the roof!

 

Roof looks great lad, Its the last thing I've been meaning to do on mine. Decided back in 2006 I wanted rid of all the silver on the van and go with just Red and black. I even Painted the SLD rail 2012 and I've still not done the roof I: - its turning pink!!

 

my roof was pink and orange(rust), glad i had it done, not sure what it will be like in mid summer with the sun on it tho
