Hi,

I stumbled across this pageg on instrument clusters and had a good read of it, we are looking to change our cluster on our T4, it is an analogue cluster and the milege has stopped working.

We were wondering if you have any clusters for sale that are analogue based?

Thanks

Andy

Hi there I am currently fitting a pd 1.9 into my t4 (1998 mid cluster ) , would I be able to fit an instrument cluster from a golf and what extra wiring would be required thanks mike

I have read through the thread but saw no mention of a 7D0919900E. i have got a 2.4D 1998 long nose caravelle and the instrument cluster which had been replaced at some point went up in smoke. the auto-electrician said my van was close to catching fire  so I am looking for a replacement but no luck getting that exact part would any others be compatible? thanks

can I get some help :)

My clocks are really old, scratched and generally need replacing.

I have 7D0920902P clocks, its a 2.5TDI ACV.

They seem similar to early Golf Mk4 clocks, so I guess immobiliser 2?

So what clocks can I get. Would like MFA, and ideally like to get some newer style.. e.g. bora or passat.

Thanks

Hi dude,
I'm having oil pressure light and buzzer issues with my van and the garage think it maybe something to do with dodgy soldered joints. The light and buzzer come on over 65mph.
The van is a R reg, 1998 1.9TD.
It has the fuel/temp gauge to the left, speedo in the middle, then a clock NOT a rev counter to the right.
Do you have anything to match?

Thanks, dan.

Hi

Hoping for a little help if poss please.

I have a t4 2.5 Tdi 1999 v reg with blue instrument cluster ajt engine code

Cluster part number: 7DO 920 901 B

I have looked at the part numbers listed on this thread and it states that 901 has been superseded by 7DO 920 902

I looked in the 902 Colum and the part number for a ajt is 7DO 920 902 E

OK so that the info I have gathered.

MY Question;

Is the only straight REPLACMENT for my original instrument cluster is the 7DO 920 902 E

OR

Is there another different part number I can look for.

If others fit can they be fitted without messing up the Ecu etc please.

Hope someone can help as its a little confusing lol

Thanks in advance

Adie

Hi sorry to ask this as you may have covered it but this is a mine field.

I have a 96 T4 2.5 Tdi clock no. 7DO 919 910S

Asking if a new clock no. 7DO 920 902P will fit.

The only reason I'm fitting this is I need the ABS light function as my ABS light module has blown and VW don't make them and having great probs locating one on that famous auction site lol.

I'm not sure how if I'm cam bused or not

Hope you can help yours confused.com lol

Hi
I have a T4 2.5tdi 1996 on a P reg.
I'm looking to replace the clocks as I need an abs light and as WV have stopped making the part I need and not finding the part on the web.

My van clocks p.no is 7do 919 910s

And wondering is these new clock p.no 7Do 920 902p would fit with a bit of fiddling about.

Please help

Yours Wayne

Hi all any help hugely appreciated.

I've annoyingly gone a cracked my screen on my clock cluster on my t5 and I'm wanting to try and just replace the clip on screen section rather than the whole cluster. Is there any other screen other than the t5 that would fit or I could try and reto fit to sort out my stupid mistake.

Many thanks in advance,

Paul

Hi, very useful info.

I just bought an early cluster (~1995 I think) with cable speedo but realised too late it is for a petrol T4 (I want to fit to a 2.4d 1991).

I can check whether the speedo and rev counter will work properly by just fitting it, but obviously the glow light will be missing.

Question is - can I just wire up an LED to the pin 20 of the connector to create the glow plug warning light, or is the electronics behind this light more complicated than that? (i.e. if lights up depending on a glow plug e.g. temp signal, not just a discrete on/off 5v signal from the pin 20?

Do you already know that the speedo will read incorrectly, and perhaps the rev counter?

Cheers

Hello

I am in the process of installing Octavia VRS MK1 clocks into a 1998 T4. I have managed to cancel out most of the warning lights by grounding them but am still getting the yellow air bag, abs, and immobiliser lights. I also have a flashing red (!) which I believe is the brake warning light. I understand this comes on with the abs light so I can't find a way of stopping it at present. I presume these yellow lights all take their signal from the ecu? Problem is I'm using standalone ecu so can't get those signals. I have been told that i can wire in a vagcom port and they can be disabled, is this right? and is there any other way I can get rid of them?

Also the fuel gauge only reads just above a 1/4 with the float lift all the way up. Can I add in a resistor or should I get a vrs sender?

Temperature seems to read fine.

Rev's I haven't tried yet as I haven't worked out where to take a signal from? Am using a megasquirt ecu. Also can i wire the speedo sensor straight to the clocks? or does it need + feed somewhere

Thanks

Hi,

I need to replace the instrument cluster for my T4 1996 1.9 TD ABL, part no 7DO 919 900E. Be great if somebody could advise me what alternative cluster I could use, struggling to find a replacement. Alternatively, I have somebody who will have a go at fixing the board, anybody have a copy of the circuit diagram please.

Many thanks,

Julia

Hi,

Could anybody tell me what cluster I could use to replace my T4 1.9 TD 1996 ABL - 7DO919900E, struggling to get a replacement. I also know a very good electrical engineer who would have a go at fixing the original circuit board, anybody know where I can get the circuit board diagram, VW are not willing to share.

Many thanks,

Julia

Hello everyone. I bought a new blue T4 instrument cluster. ( including cable and frame)

my T4 1997 AJA, green instrument cluster.

Is it can be plugged directly ? the same socket in the fuse box . ( old green intrument cluster, new blue instrument cluster U1 - U2 instrument cluster cable socket)

Is it necessary modifications ?

Hi Guys

I have a 1998 T4 2.4D AAB engine, original cluster 7DO 919 900G (Speedo with digital milometer, Analogue clock to right, with faulty fuel & temp gauge to left), removed to re-solder, but wanted rev counter so purchased a 7DO 920 900B, which I understand is the correct one for mine. Unplugged original loom (2x blue connectors) from rear of fusebox and plugged in the new loom (2x blue connectors to the blue & green on the cluster). New cluster gives digital display of milometer & digital clock but no other displays or lights (no lights, indicators etc...) and no speedo, fuel gauge, temp gauge or rev counter.

Both the old and the new cluster has similar wiring to that of ADEMÜÇÜNCÜ's photos below.

Does anyone have any ideas why the above is not working, do I have to change the wiring/add additional wiring to the loom, there are several unused connectors on the new cluster so do some of these need wiring into the existing 2 blue connectors to enable the speedo, rev counter, fuel & temp gauge, indicator, warning lights etc....

Thanks in advance for any help.
